What to expect

The restored 1885 depot presents Gordon's railroad history in its former agent's office and waiting rooms. Railway and kaolin-industry displays connect the town to the working rail line beside it. This is a small museum visit, with limited opening dates.

First and third Saturdays, 10am–4pm

Explore Georgia specifies the first and third Saturdays of each month. This is not an every-Saturday schedule; call to confirm staffing and holiday changes.

• Restored 1885 railroad depot
• Historic agent's office and waiting rooms
• Railway and kaolin-industry history

Before you go

• Check that your visit falls on an open Saturday and confirm with the city before making a special trip.
• The freight room is also used for private events; a booking there does not establish museum opening hours.
• The adjacent railway remains active. Use public visitor areas and stay off the tracks; no train ride is advertised.

Check the organizer’s latest details before leaving; schedules and availability can change.
