One-mile falls trail June–August; otherwise appointment or announced access

The detailed Nature Conservancy visit rules supersede its contradictory summary label of open year-round. Outside June–August, arrange access unless it is Easter Sunday or an announced public date.

  • Rocky Creek waterfalls and sandstone ledges
  • Rare plants and seepage bogs
  • Longleaf-wiregrass habitat

Before you go

  • Outside June–August, arrange access unless visiting Easter Sunday or a specifically announced date.
  • Park by the kiosk at the locked gate; the exposed approach is roughly one mile before the falls.
  • There are no restrooms, and rocky terrain is not stroller or wheelchair accessible.
  • Stay on the trail and do not collect from the fragile habitat.
  • Wear safety orange September–May because a private hunt club uses the preserve. Pets are prohibited on guided tours.
  • Waterfall volume depends on recent rain, and tours may cancel for heavy weather.
